Studying through the Medicine Wheel with Born as the Earth Zen Academy (BEZA) has been a deeply sacred and life-changing experience for me. The wisdom and guidance of the beautiful teachers, along with the support of dear friends I’ve met along the way, have truly transformed how I see myself and the world around me.
Through the profound practices of meditation, mentoring, community council, and divination, as well as the apprentice training, I have been gently guided on a path of enlightenment. This journey has strengthened me in ways I couldn’t have imagined, allowing me to bridge the gap between the visible and invisible worlds with more clarity and grace.
What has made this experience even more special is the practical wisdom that I can apply to my daily life. BEZA has empowered me not only spiritually but also in a grounded, day-to-day way, making me feel more aligned and capable as I walk my unique path.
BEZA is a true blessing, and I will always hold it close to my heart as I continue to grow in light and wisdom.
I attended Earth School’s meditation training earlier this year, and have been joining the daily meditations since then. I have been meditating for many years, but Nangaku’s clear, eloquent teachings really get to the heart of the practice, and have given me deeper insight and, critically, the motivation to maintain a regular meditation practice. During the daily meditations Nangaku offers help with challenges that arise in the practice, and the guidance that he has given me has been invaluable.
His depth of knowledge, wisdom, sensitivity and commitment are clear. I felt the positive benefits of the practice almost immediately and am calmer, more focused and more embodied. The teachings and daily practice have been a great gift in my life and I wholeheartedly recommend Earth School.
Coaching and Divination with Glenn Nangaku Leisching was auspicious and cathartic. Glenn’s capacity for grasping human nature and ability to help me reach into the deep cervices of my soul with love and compassion has had a profound impact on me. The perspectives gained and birthed from myself by his gentle hand has (and continues to) transformed the manner in which I walk in the world(s). As far as healing associations are concerned, I unreservedly recommend this beautiful human.
The Earth School retreat was beyond my expectation. The combination of carefully guided ritual, daily meditation and movement, the loving and safe space created by the group and the pristine natural environment led to a truly transformative experience.
I let go of some things that no longer served me and I left with tools to take the experience into my everyday life. I would definitely do an Earth School retreat again.
My 17 year old daughter and I recently attended an Earth School retreat. We had no idea what to expect. Ultimately we were absolutely blown away by the experience which has had the most phenomenal effect on our relationship. In my wildest dreams I wouldn’t have expected such a positive and far reaching outcome.
My daughter had chronic stomach pains due to stress. We spent a fortune on diagnoses during the last 18 months and since we’ve returned 3 weeks ago, she hasn’t had any pain whatsoever.
I went to the retreat with an often angry and chronically stressed teen. I returned with a calm, happy, positive and loving daughter. Through the teachings, she was able to access her inner wisdom and felt seen and heard while she was there. I highly recommend you attend one of the Earth School retreats!
Becoming a student with Earth School over the last 5 months has been one of the most beautiful experiences that I have committed myself to. I have and continue to explore the depths of myself and encounter radical healing in my life. Nangaku’s open hearted way is a privilege to experience and witness, he is generous with his wisdom and his time and has a profound capacity and love for all beings and Mother Earth. I stopped taking asthma medication recently, which I had been on for years.
I started my meditation having difficulty breathing through my nose as well as chest… and ended up with full flowing deep healing breath moving within as well as throughout the cells of my whole body. I felt like I had had a restorative sleep when the bell sounded for the end of meditation. It is my intent to allow this healing breath to flow through me at every meditation.
I am grateful for the group participation since access to healing is always more powerful in group scenarios. So instead of an asthma pump, I now do my morning meditations… which not only helps my asthma etc but also gives back to me in a myriad of other positive and fulfilling ways throughout the day.

One day you finally knew what you had to do, and began,
though the voices around you kept shouting their bad advice,
though the whole house began to tremble and you felt the old tug at your ankles.
“Mend my life!” each voice cried.
But you didn’t stop. You knew what you had to do,
though the wind pried with its stiff fingers at the very foundations,
though their melancholy was terrible.
It was already late enough, and a wild night,
and the road full of fallen branches and stones.
But little by little, as you left their voice behind,
the stars began to burn through the sheets of clouds,
and there was a new voice which you slowly recognised as your own,
that kept you company as you strode deeper and deeper into the world,
determined to do the only thing you could do,
determined to save the only life that you could save.
