Heart Mentoring

The Way of the Heart

“A mentor is someone who inspires the student to give of her best in order to discover what she already knows.” – Paulo Coelho

Mentoring Sessions

Together we will work with a Medicine Wheel, Zen Buddhist Wisdom, modern myths and dreams, the 4 Agreements and the Protocols of Council to offer you holistic, practical remedies to support the totality of your being. Putting into practice these life changing remedies are akin to a chiropractic session seemingly performed ‘outside’ yourself. The psychic, physical, mental and emotional attunements becomes everlasting, self-empowering tools to craft a life of authenticity in a rapidly changing world.

Heart Mentoring sessions are offered on a sliding scale.

Mentoring with Nangaku was auspicious and cathartic. His capacity for grasping human nature and ability to help me reach into the deep cervices of my soul with love and compassion has had a profound impact on me. The perspectives gained and birthed from myself by his gentle hand has (and continues to) transformed the manner in which I walk in the world(s). As far as healing associations are concerned, I unreservedly recommend this beautiful human.

Benefits of Mentoring

Support your growth

Mentors encourage and enable another person’s professional or personal development. A mentor can help focus your efforts by setting goals and giving positive feedback in alignment with your authenticity.

A source of wisdom

Mentors can provide specific insights and information that enable the mentee’s success, offering instructions on how to perform particular tasks or develop useful skills.

Help you align

A mentor can help their mentee set personal or professional alignments to your intrinsic purpose. This can help focus your efforts and make it easier for you to track and assess progress.

Maintain accountability

A mentor helps hold their mentee accountable for their goals. By tracking progress, the mentor helps the mentee stay focused and on track, ensuring the mentee does not forget about their aligned purpose.

Offering encouragement

When the mentee finds themselves struggling to align with their truth, they can turn to their mentor for support. Encouragement can motivate them to keep moving forward despite challenges. A mentor can also identify and express their mentee’s strengths to instill confidence in them. Having a strong sense of confidence can make the mentee less likely to give up on themselves.

Willing to listen

When an individual feels inspired they can use their mentor as a resource to listen deeply to them. A mentor can provide unbiased advice, wisdom and experience. With these insights, the mentee can better understand what steps to take to make their inspiration a reality.

A trusted ally

Trust represents a core element of mentoring relationships. The mentee must trust that the mentor has their best interests in mind and will provide accurate and honest guidance. Communicating regularly and following through on their promises demonstrate two methods of establishing trust in these relationships.

Constructive feedback

A trusting mentorship relationship enables honest feedback. By establishing trust, the mentee understands that constructive criticism aims to build their professional growth rather than make them feel bad. Mentors can identify vulnerabilities and advise them on pathways to self-empowerment.

Providing guidelines

A mentor can help set guidelines for their authentic expression in the world. For example, they may clarify the priorities in the role of relational behaviour. These guidelines can help the mentee establish appropriate course correctors that enable them to focus on their values.

Relevant experience

When possible, individuals should choose mentors who have the relevant experience, core values and life purpose. When mentors convey their successes, the mentee can use them as an example to strive toward and copy the steps they took. Mentors can also share the mistakes they made along their journeys. The mentee benefits because they learn lessons about the mistakes’ negative impacts but do not have to suffer the consequences themselves. Learning about these experiences can also help prepare the mentee for the challenges they can expect to face and provide demonstrable advice on how to overcome them.
